CHIMNEY ROCK NATIONAL MONUMENT ROAD RECONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN

PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colorado – As part of a multi-year capital improvement project at Chimney Rock National Monument, road reconstruction work will begin on October 10 and continue through December 1.  During this time, parking in the lot adjacent to Highway 151 by the entrance gate will not be possible.  Pedestrian access along the main road into Chimney Rock will similarly be impacted during much of this timeframe.  Those seeking to access the monument this fall should plan accordingly, as parking along the highway right-of-way is not permissible.  We appreciate your patience during this process.

For additional information, please contact the Pagosa Ranger District at (970) 264-2268.
