Special Events and work days volunteering may include Clean Up Day, Full Moon Programs, Lunar Standstill Programs, Solstice and Equinox Sunrise Programs, Life at Chimney Rock, man booths at 4th of July Arts and Crafts Fair, County Fair, and Four Corners Music Festival. All kinds of talent or useful interests, such as greeting open-house visitors, crowd control, storytelling, painting, carpentry, etc.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring visitor use to prevent impact to archaeological resources
- Participate in flashlight brigade for visitor safety at night-time programs
- Provide light maintenance as needed, such as noxious weed spraying, painting tables, fixing signs, repairing walls and walkways
- Work well with the public and co-workers under all circumstances including stressful situations
- Assist Event Coordinator or Day Manager as needed
- Assist with training of new volunteers
Physical requirements:
- Heat and sunlight tolerance
- Moderate physical exertion
- Adequate hearing and vision
- Accustomed to high elevations

Guided Walking Tour Schedule: 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.
